Colton, Grand Terrace and Bloomington community members today asked a group of 22 principals and teachers how parents, businesses, non-profit organizations and local government could best support the academic and career success of every student. The dialogue occurred at the monthly meeting of the Colton Joint Unified School District’s Community Cabinet. Colton Joint and San Bernardino City unified school districts are piloting the first Community Cabinets for the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools’ Alliance for Education, which seeks to foster partnerships amongst all community sectors to support the education system. In November, the Colton Community Cabinet will meet with a panel of students to seek their input on proposed community priorities for supporting the success of every child from cradle to career.
