The Child Care Resource Center in San Bernardino is giving away books to children at its 3rd Annual Family Play Day on April 23.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Child Care Resource Center, 1111 East Mill Street in San Bernardino.
Activities include story time, live entertainment, obstacle course, reptiles exhibit, hair and face painting, an infant play area and raffle prizes. Each child will go home with a free book and families will receive a bag of fresh fruits and vegetables while supplies last.
The Child Care Resource Center has supported literacy efforts for many years and has given away more than 500,000 books to children in San Bernardino and Los Angeles counties through their What a Difference a Book Makes campaign.
