LBFF general flyer smallThe Inland Empire Latino Book and Family Festival takes place Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Cal State San Bernardino’s Santos Manuel Student Union.

The festival supports the Vision2Read campaign because it promotes literacy throughout San Bernardino County. The festival is open to the public and admission and parking are free.

The Latino Book and Family Festival is presented by actor Edward James Olmos, Cal State San Bernardino, the John M. Pfau Library and the Santos Manuel Student Union. The event will feature education, entertainment, culture, food, exhibits, storytelling, workshops and a chance to meet authors.

The Latino Book and Family Festival is also holding a Latino Essay and Art Contest open to K-12 students in San Bernardino County public school districts.

First prize wins $100, second prize wins $50 and third prize wins $25. Two $500 college scholarships will be awarded to seniors and juniors for the best essay. The prizes will be awarded at the Festival on April 30. Entries must be received by April 15.
